Welcome to Osmosis ACD – Retrofit Consultancy
Osmosis ACD is an independent retrofit consultancy specialising in providing PAS 2035-compliant retrofit assessment and coordination to the social housing and local authority sectors.
A little about Osmosis ACD
We employ some of the best Retrofit Assessors and Retrofit Coordinators in the industry. We provide our clients with a genuinely independent service that puts them in the driving seat on domestic retrofit projects. Our goal is to get projects shovel-ready – leaving the client in a position to appoint a design and install team to deliver on the plans we create. We can then continue to act as Coordinator and Evaluator to keep everybody on task.
Osmosis ACD is a joint-venture between Osmosis Strategic Consulting and Sciana Systems – both leaders in their field. We draw upon decades of expertise and share a vision of delivering best practice approaches to support high quality retrofit in social housing.
Osmosis ACD was created to meet demand from social landlords for a genuinely impartial service upstream of the conflicts of interest that arise from appointing installers to carry out the assessment and coordination of retrofit projects. It is a model identified by The Retrofit Academy CIC in a report commissioned by the government called Contracting for PAS 2035 Compliant Retrofit. Osmosis ACD provide the service called Managed Assessment Coordination and Evaluation (MACE). You can download a copy of the report here.

Case Studies
Osmosis ACD partnered with The Retrofit Academy to deliver the St Helen’s Cement City Best Practice MACE Case Study on behalf of BEIS and North West Energy Hub.
The outcome was a series of five briefing notes that advise and steer best practice assessment, coordination and design for whole house retrofit at scale.
